We are working with a highly regarded custom residential builder known for delivering bespoke homes with exceptional attention to detail. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator / Documentation Manager to play a critical role in the pre-construction and delivery process.

This position will suit someone who is technically strong, highly organised, and passionate about risk mitigation, documentation accuracy, and delivering clarity for site teams.

The Role

Reporting closely to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all documentation and contract administration activities to ensure projects are construction-ready and aligned with regulatory and client requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, reviewing, and managing all construction documentation to ensure it is complete, clear, and aligned with “as-built” outcomes

  • Risk-mitigating paperwork by identifying inconsistencies, gaps, and potential issues prior to construction

  • Ensuring documentation goes beyond permit-level detail and is suitable for accurate construction delivery

  • Coordinating and managing external consultants including drafting, town planning, engineering, and interior design

  • Managing variations, contracts, and cost documentation with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance

  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships while confidently navigating difficult conversations around scope, cost, and construction issues

About You

  • Proven experience in a Contract Administration role within custom or high-end residential construction

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and compliance requirements

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risk

  • Confident project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple consultants and stakeholders

  • Warm, professional, and client-focused communication style, with the ability to hold firm when required

  • Highly organised, process-driven, and comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously

Why Apply?

  • Join a respected custom residential builder with a strong pipeline of work

  • Play a pivotal role in improving documentation quality and construction outcomes

  • Work closely with clients, consultants, and leadership in a collaborative environment

  • Long-term opportunity with a builder focused on quality, not volume
