What you’ll do:
  • Own and evolve the company’s core digital ecosystem end-to-end
  • Define technical roadmap, priorities, and platform improvements
  • Lead an engineering team across Melbourne and offshore
  • Drive platform reliability, usability, scalability, and system integration
  • Make clear architectural and technical decisions across an evolving stack
  • Develop and execute a practical AI strategy aligned to business goals
  • Identify opportunities for AI and automation to improve workflows and delivery efficiency
  • Improve reporting, data visibility, and digital capability across the business
  • Partner closely with Sales and Operations to improve client delivery and business outcomes
  • Balance ongoing delivery with platform modernisation initiatives
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience leading software engineering teams in lean or mid-sized environments
  • Strong full-stack development background with technical leadership capability
  • Experience owning and evolving digital products, systems, or platforms end-to-end
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing AI or automation strategy
  • Hands-on experience across modern web and cloud environments
  • Strong exposure to technologies such as .NET, React, Angular, PHP, Azure and AWS
  • Excellent solution design and architectural decision-making capability
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders

This is not a traditional enterprise leadership role with layers of governance and distance from delivery.
