Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a rapidly growing start up business to source an experienced National Operations Manager to lead and optimise operations across Australia. This is an opportunity to join an innovative organisation working with some of Australia’s most recognised brands across waste collection, recycling, transport, and sustainability initiatives. With national operations already established, the business is now looking for a strong operational leader who can drive efficiency, improve service delivery, and lead a growing workforce across multiple states. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of national operations, ensuring collections, deliveries, compliance, and customer commitments are executed at the highest standard.

What do you do?
Oversee day-to-day national transport and operational activities
Manage and lead a national driver workforce
Coordinate scheduling, routing, and operational performance
Improve route optimisation and fleet efficiency
Ensure compliance across transport, waste, environmental, and WH&S requirements
Maintain and improve customer service standards across all clients
Identify operational improvements and implement process efficiencies
Work closely with internal stakeholders across operations and customer service
Monitor operational KPIs and drive accountability across the business
What do you need?
5+ years’ experience within operations management
Background within transport, logistics, waste, recycling, or related industries
Proven experience managing drivers and field-based teams
Strong understanding of route planning and operational efficiency
Sound knowledge of transport and WH&S compliance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A hands-on and solutions-focused approach
Ability to manage operations across multiple states and time zones
