Compliance and Regulatory Manager

Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a fast-growing fintech in search of their first dedicated Compliance & Regulatory Manager.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly influential role where you’ll build, shape and lead the compliance function from the ground up. Sitting at the intersection of governance, regulation and commercial growth, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the business scales confidently while maintaining best-practice compliance standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and manage AML/CTF program end to end
  • Ensure compliance frameworks align with ASIC, AFSL and AUSTRAC obligations
  • Provide compliance guidelines on new products, initiatives and business changes
  • Manage KYC/CCD/ECDD processes and third party vendor relationships
  • Support ASIC and AUSTRAC audits, reviews and regulatory notices
  • Drive a culture of proactive and commercially pragmatic compliance

What we’re looking for:

  • 5 + year’s experience within compliance, AML/CTF or regulatory environments
  • Strong understanding of AML/CTF frameworks and AFSL obligations
  • Experience managing AUSTRAC reporting requirements
  • Proven ability engaging with ASIC, AUSTRAC or external regulators
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Background in fintech, financial services, consulting, legal or audit environments
