Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with a leading enterprise eCommerce and cloud solutions provider to find a Junior DevOps Engineer to join their growing team. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their DevOps career who is looking to build their technical skills across Linux, cloud infrastructure, automation, application support and enterprise hosting environments. 

We're looking to speak with motivated IT Support, Application Support, Systems Administration or Junior DevOps professionals who are eager to learn, take ownership and develop their careers within a supportive and technically strong team.

What you'll do:

  • Respond to incidents, support requests and application-related issues
  • Monitor, maintain and support customer environments and implementations
  • Deploy changes to internal systems and customer platforms
  • Build, configure and support new environments
  • Write scripts and automate repetitive operational tasks
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Assist with application support, defect management and maintenance activities
  • Produce technical documentation, configuration guides and support procedures
  • Participate in an on-call roster supporting critical customer environments
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver infrastructure and platform initiatives
  • Install, configure and maintain applications and cloud-based environments

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in IT Help Desk, Application Support, Systems Administration or a similar technical support role
  • Exposure to Linux environments, particularly RedHat, CentOS or Rocky Linux
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience writing scripts in any programming or scripting language
  • Knowledge of Git or SVN version control systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, triage and manage technical issues effectively
  • Strong customer service mindset and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
