Woods & Co is currently partnering with a well-established and growing construction and maintenance business seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This is a hands on leadership role overseeing a diverse portfolio for maintenance, vacant property works, responsive repairs, makesafes and minor projects across multiple client contracts.

This opportunity would suit a proactive construction professional who enjoys managing projects from initial scope and quotation through to completion, while leading field teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Role

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery and financial performance of maintenance and minor works projects. You will oversee subcontractors and field teams, ensure compliance with client requirements and industry regulations, and drive quality outcomes across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scope, access and prepare quotations for maintenance and minor works projects
  • Coordinate and oversee responsive maintenance, vacant works and makesafe projects
  • Liaise directly with clients to understand requirements and ensure expectations are met
  • Develop project plans, schedules and delivery programs
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and field technicians
  • Conduct site inspection and quality assurance checks throughout project delivery
  • Monitor compliance with building regulations, safety standards and contractual obligations
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, profitability and cost control
  • Review and approve variations, invoices and project related expenditure
  • Ensure all project documentation, compliance certificates and handover requirements are completed
  • Monitor team productivity, performance and resource allocation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, systems and operational processes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders
About You
  • Previous experience in a Supervisor, Project Manager or Maintenance Manager position within construction, building maintenance or a related industry
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing construction, maintenance or building projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building compliance and safety requirements
  • Experience managing subcontractors, trades and field based teams
  • Sound commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting and project profitability
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands within a fast paced environment
  • Experience preparing quotes, managing variations and overseeing projects delivery from start to finish
  • Tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction, Engineering, Project Management or Business Management will be highly regarded
