Construction Manager | Residential Development and Pre-Fab housing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Manager to join a well-capitalised property group embarking on a significant growth phase within the residential housing sector.

Backed by longstanding relationships with national developers and an established pipeline of opportunities, the business is expanding into the delivery of prefabricated housing solutions across existing residential land developments. This role presents a rare opportunity to build and lead a division from the ground up, with a clear pathway to senior leadership and potential equity participation as the business scales.

Reporting directly to the executive team, you will be responsible for establishing operational frameworks, developing key supplier relationships, overseeing project delivery, and building a high-performing construction team capable of supporting rapid growth.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional Construction Manager role. You will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the business by:
  • Building and leading a new construction division from the ground up
  • Managing the delivery of prefabricated housing projects across residential developments
  • Establishing and strengthening relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors
  • Developing operational processes, systems and reporting structures
  • Managing project timelines, budgets and quality outcomes
  • Recruiting, mentoring and leading a growing construction team
  • Working closely with developers, landowners and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Contributing to strategic planning and future growth initiatives

About You

  • Extensive experience within residential construction, house and land, volume housing, modular or prefabricated building environments
  • Strong supplier and subcontractor networks across the residential construction sector
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build and manage teams
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets, margins and delivery outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • A solutions-focused and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience within prefabricated, modular or off-site construction will be highly regarded
