Site Foreman

Woods & Co has partnered with a well-established high end residential builder delivering architecturally designed homes in the search for a Site Foreman. Working on bespoke new builds valued up to $20m, this is a hands on role that combines both site supervision and carpentry, requiring someone who is equally comfortable leading site operations as they are working on the tools.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Construction Manager and Project team, you will be responsible for the day to day management of site activities while remaining actively involved in construction works on site. You will coordinate trades, manage program outcomes, maintain quality standards and assist with carpentry works where required to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Site Foreman or a Leading Hand with luxury residential experience who is keen to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day to day site operations across custom residential projects
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and trades
  • Undertake carpentry and hands on construction activities as required
  • Manage construction programs and ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and site presentation
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and safety inspections
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements, building regulations and company procedures
  • Liaise with clients, architects, consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve site issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
About You
  • Trade qualifed Carpenter
  • Previous experience as a Site Foreman or Leading Hand within high end residential construction
  • Demonstrated experience delivering custom new builds
  • Comfortable balancing hands on carpentry responsibilities with site management duties
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methodologies and sequencing
  • Ability to effectively manage subcontractors and site teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes
