- Melbourne
- Information & Communication Technology
Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with an established not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to supporting children and families, based in Melbourne, who are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on position, driving a business-critical system implementation and working closely with internal stakeholders and technology vendors in a purpose-driven environment.
What's in it for you?
- A flexible contract engagement; 2–3 days per week, with the option to spread hours across 4–5 shorter days.
- The chance to lead a high-impact technology project within a purpose-driven, well-respected not-for-profit.
- Autonomy to shape project governance and ways of working, rather than fit into a rigid existing methodology.
- Exposure to a meaningful clinical technology decision with real organisational significance.
- Market rate remuneration, based on experience.
What you’ll do:
- Provide strong day-to-day project governance, including reporting, risk/issue management and clear visibility of progress.
- Manage the relationship with the software vendor, holding them accountable for delivery timelines and quality.
- Coordinate a small internal delivery team to keep workstreams aligned and moving.
- Lead planning and decision-making for outstanding scope items, including a key architecture decision for an in-flight clinical module.
- Oversee remaining delivery phases including integrations, data migration, testing, training and deployment through to Go-Live.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated experience delivering business systems, technology transformations or enterprise software implementations involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Strong vendor management skills, with the confidence to manage senior vendor contacts and hold delivery partners to account.
- Solid grounding in project governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement and change coordination.
- Experience within small-to-medium organisations and/or the not-for-profit sector highly regarded.
- Exposure to clinical or health-related systems and data integrations (e.g. HL7) is an advantage.
