Network Project Engineer

Woods & Co Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established technology solutions provider to appoint a Project Engineer with a networking specialty. Our client delivers innovative infrastructure and networking solutions across a diverse range of organisations, specialising in modern Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms and secure enterprise environments. Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of projects, they are looking to strengthen their technical team with an engineer who enjoys delivering end-to-end infrastructure projects across both internal systems and client environments.

• Deliver networking projects involving LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, wireless and firewall technologies.
• Design, deploy and upgrade infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Configure and support networking equipment, servers and Microsoft Azure.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Produce clear technical documentation and implementation guides.
• Contribute to technical standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience delivering end-to-end networking or infrastructure projects in a professional IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of routing & switching, VLANs, VPNs, TCP/IP and network security.
• Experience with firewall technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto or Sophos.
• Exposure to Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Strong communication, documentation and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience within a technology solutions provider or managed services environment is beneficial, but not essential.
