Senior Analyst – Retail Investments
Melbourne | $150,000 – $250,000 incl. super + Bonus | Full-Time
An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced property professional to join a high-performing national commercial real estate business within its growing Retail Investments team.
Working alongside highly experienced Partners, agents and analysts, this position will play a key role in the analysis, positioning and execution of significant retail investment transactions across Australia.
This is an opportunity suited to an experienced Senior Analyst, Valuer or Capital Transactions professional looking to gain greater exposure to major transactions and work closely with some of the industry's leading operators.
The Role
As Senior Analyst – Retail Investments, you will support the execution and marketing of major retail investment transactions, including shopping centres, supermarkets and large-format retail assets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Execution of large-scale retail investment transactions
- Financial analysis and due diligence across major retail assets
- Lease analysis, outgoings reviews and cash flow modelling
- Forbury modelling and assessment of property financials
- Preparation of institutional-grade Information Memorandums and sale materials
- Strategic positioning and marketing of investment opportunities
- Analysis of sales, leasing and broader market transactions
- Maintaining transaction and market databases
- Researching investment markets, demographics and macroeconomic trends
- Preparation of submissions, presentations and client materials
- Supporting Partners and senior sales agents throughout transaction campaigns
- Building relationships with property professionals nationally
- Contributing to the broader national analyst team
About You
You will ideally bring:
- 5+ years' experience across property investment, valuation, funds management, capital transactions or property analysis
- Experience as a Senior Analyst, Senior Valuer, Capital Transactions professional or similar
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Exposure to investment transactions and due diligence
- Retail property experience advantageous, but not essential
- Strong Excel skills and a high level of financial literacy
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A property-related university degree; business-related qualifications will also be considered
- A genuine interest in commercial property and investment markets
- A collaborative, motivated and commercially minded approach
