Woods & Co is partnering with a well-established commercial construction business to recruit an experienced Structures Supervisor for a $34m commercial development in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands on construction professional to join a major project and play a key role in the delivery of the structural phase. Working alongside an experienced project team, you'll be responsible for coordinating structural works, managing subcontractors and ensuring the project continues to progress safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role

As Structures Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the structural construction phase, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising structural construction activities across the project
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site resources
• Managing day to day structural works, ensuring quality and programme requirements are met
• Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to maintain project momentum
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and safety requirements
• Monitoring site progress, quality control and construction methodology
• Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise

About You

• Proven experience within a Structures, Foreman, or Site Supervisor role within the commercial construction sector
• Strong experience delivering structural works on medium to large scale commercial projects
• Solid understanding of concrete structures, construction sequencing and structural methodology
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and mange structural works on site
• Strong communication, organisation and problem solving skills
• A proactive, hands on approach with a strong focus on safety and quality
