Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with an innovative and growing events technology business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality photo booth experiences across Australia. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a hands-on and technically minded Technical Maintenance Manager to lead and support their technical team.
This is a full-time opportunity suited to someone who enjoys leading people, solving technical problems and taking ownership when things go wrong. You'll be responsible for managing the technical team, coordinating rosters, troubleshooting equipment and technology issues, and ensuring the team is well prepared to support events across Australia.
Based primarily from the business's Fairfield location, this role will suit someone who is confident managing a team while still being comfortable getting hands-on and working through technical issues themselves.
$110,000–$120,000 + super, depending on experience

Occasional interstate travel for training and technical support

Managing, supporting and developing the technical maintenance team
Creating and managing team rosters to ensure adequate event and operational coverage
Delegating technical tasks and managing daily priorities across the team
Troubleshooting and resolving technical and equipment issues as they arise
Coordinating the team's response to technical problems during events
Providing hands-on technical support and getting involved in troubleshooting when required
Assessing technical issues and determining the most practical and effective solution
Escalating significant or complex issues to senior management when required
Training and developing technical team members
Supporting staff with technical problem-solving and day-to-day challenges
Identifying recurring technical issues and implementing longer-term solutions
Supporting interstate events, training and technical requirements when required
Maintaining a high standard of technical operations across the business
Previous experience managing or leading a technical, maintenance, field service, operations or similar team
Strong people-management and leadership skills
Solid technical or technology background
Practical, hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem solving
Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to confidently diagnose problems and work through solutions independently
Someone who takes ownership rather than immediately escalating problems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and event-driven environment
Ability to train, support and get the best out of technical team members
Strong cultural fit with a growing, entrepreneurial business
Comfortable supporting event bump-in and bump-out activities when required
Flexible and available to work through the majority of the Christmas period, excluding Christmas Day and public holidays
Current driver's licence
Reliable, proactive and solutions-focused
