Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a respected school in Kew, to find an experienced HR professional for a temporary People & Culture Advisor role.
This is a varied and hands-on position supporting the Director of People & Culture across compliance, policy, HR systems, and staff support.

What do you do?

• Provide advice on HR policies, procedures, and legislation
• Coordinate onboarding, contracts, and compliance documentation
• Manage employee records and HRIS data (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Synergetic)
• Ensure adherence to child safety standards, WWCC, VIT, and mandatory training
• Support staff wellbeing initiatives, learning and development programs, and events
• Contribute to HR reporting, audits, and process improvements
• Collaborate closely with Payroll to ensure accuracy across employee data

 
What do you need?

• WWCC required
• Proven experience in a generalist People & Culture or HR role
• Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and the Fair Work Act
• Experience in the education sector (desirable but not essential)
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Polished personal presentation and a warm, approachable demeanour
• Availability to start immediately and commit to the full temp period
• A commitment to upholding child safety
