Finance Officer - Property

Are you an experienced Finance Officer looking for flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to work within a highly respected property business?

We are partnering with a well-established property development and investment group seeking a Finance Officer to join their close-knit team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a genuine work-life balance, with the flexibility to work four days per week or spread hours across five school-friendly days.

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you'll play a critical role across the finance function while working within a collaborative, family-friendly environment that genuinely values its people.

The Opportunity

This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general finance administration. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, external suppliers and project teams, becoming an integral part of a growing property business.

The position is initially offered on a part-time basis with Wednesday work-from-home flexibility, however there is a clear pathway for the role to transition into a full-time position as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end Accounts Payable processing
  • Accounts Receivable management and debtor follow-up
  • Bank reconciliations and daily transaction management
  • Processing supplier invoices and payments
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and finance administration
  • Managing project-related financial documentation
  • Supporting cashflow reporting and tracking
  • Liaising with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and systems
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance and administration tasks as required

About You

  • Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Exposure to the property, construction, development or real estate sectors is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to think on your feet and solve problems independently
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, MYOB Advanced or similar systems
