Woods & Co are working with a highly regarded landscaping business servicing Melbourne, Bayside and the Mornington Peninsula, who are on the lookout for an experienced Horticulturalist to step into an Assistant Manager position in their Garden Maintenance division.

This is an exciting opportunity for a trade-qualified professional with strong residential garden maintenance experience who is ready to develop their career into team leadership, client relationships, scheduling, quality control and management.

About the Role:

As Assistant Manager of Garden Maintenance, you’ll work alongside the Garden Maintenance Manager to support the day-to-day management of the maintenance division. You’ll lead and support gardeners and apprentices in the field, maintain high horticultural standards across client gardens, and continue to work hands-on while developing your management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day management of the Garden Maintenance Division
• Lead, support and mentor gardeners and apprentices in the field
• Assist with scheduling, quality control and staff development
• Maintain high horticultural standards and communicate professionally with clients
• Continue hands-on garden maintenance while supporting the broader management team

About You

• Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens or Aboriculture
• Minimum 5 years’ professional garden maintenance experience
• Proven experience in high-end residential garden
• Strong horticultural knowledge, attention to detail and practical skills
• Current Driver’s Licence with the maturity and ambition to progress into management
