Position Overview
The Project & Account Manager role is required to assist Intershop Communications Australia Pty Ltd with ongoing development and scoping projects. They will be playing a major role in taking responsibility for the scripting of digital projects and will be the day-to-day contact for external clients. The Project & Account Manager will ensure each project is delivered to customer expectations and within the prescribed time frames, budget and ensuring customer
satisfaction. In addition to project delivery, a critical function of the role is to maintain a steady pipeline of project work for the year ahead, manage budgets, resource utilisation and provide a regular forecast to senior management. This role is located in Melbourne, however may require some interstate and international travel. It is a full-time (38 Hours Per Week) position.
Responsibilities & Key Duties
As Project & Account Manager responsibilities will be broad and varied. The successful candidate will be expected to be highly knowledgeable and experienced, including:
A Subject Matter Expert in E-Commerce driven initiatives, best practice principles and concepts across various industries
Able to run workshops to gather business, functional and non-functional requirements and turn information into requirements (user stories, integration stories, structured business and functional requirement documentation)
Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all business and technical personnel
Analyse, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
Experience in running training sessions, client interaction workshops, product & solution presentations
Excellent written and oral communication skills (e.g., phone manner, face-to-face and negotiation skills)
Ability to work independently in fast paced environment, priorities often conflict and shift on a daily basis
Have an appreciation for the nuances of working in a growing business, working alongside developers and other technical and business resources
Scheduling and designation of project task to resources
Execution of each phase of the project
Execute testing cases during SIT, UAT phases
Managing project budgets, resource utilisation, etc.
Collaborating with internal and customer departments heads to achieve common goals
Future planning / forecasting initiatives with customers
Take customers’ business initiatives and requirements and convert into deliverable based Project Plans with clearly defined development tasks, project milestones, timelines and resource allocation
Excellent Stake Holder Management Skills
Ability to work within flexible time schedules and time zones where necessary
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will offer a bright and energetic outlook and be experienced and knowledgeable, offering the following:
Commercial Exposure to the Following Areas IT/Software/Online Application Software
At Least 4 Years Experience in Commercial Environment in a Project Management Function
Bachelor Degree and minimum 4 years industry-centric expertise
Tertiary Qualifications in ICT/Business/Programming
Specialised knowledge of Intershop and other eCommerce specific platform and Solutions
A singular familiarity with Intershop’s internal management processes and implementation program
SCRUM certification a plus
PRINCE or CAPM Certification Ideal, But Not Crucial
Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution preferred
Extensive expertise in major project delivery with cross regional clientele
Worked with multiple global organisations
Demonstrate understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Excellent time management and organisational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising project teams
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Thorough experience in managing test cycle processes and testing teams
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
Frontend understanding of CSS, Javascript, HTML, Angular, React, Bootstrap
Technical understanding of application development and integrations principals
Proven proficiency in managing project budgets, timesheets, estimation, scheduling and forecasting on large scale
Demonstrated capacity of teamwork consolidation between business analysts, UX personnel, quality assurance staff and software engineers
Exposure to the Enfinity 6.X/Intershop 7.X Web-based capabilities and Back Office is a plus
Exposure to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus
Intermediate Competence Skill Level as a Minimum in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Visio
Ability to Use Initiative and Prioritise
Good negotiation skills, exposure to dealing with IT software contracts, familiarity with terms and
conditions, software pricing and different deployment models
Thrive in a multi-cultural environment both in dealing with colleagues within the company and globally with clients
Demonstrate a high level of initiative, resourcefulness, energy and the ability to work autonomously
