Client-Side | Major High-Rise Residential & Mixed-Use Projects | Queensland
An established client-side project management and development advisory is seeking an experienced Development Manager to oversee a portfolio of large-scale, high-end residential and mixed-use projects across South East Queensland.
The role offers genuine end-to-end exposure across landmark developments, including 50-storey towers and premium apartment and hotel-led projects valued between $70m and $300m.
Broadbeach – 300 apartments / 50 levels (~$300m construction value)
Broadbeach – 230 apartments + 100 hotel apartments / 48 levels, 2,500sqm wellness (~$280m)
Surfers Paradise – 30-level ultra-high-end residential tower (~$200m)
Chevron Island – 26 apartments / 15 levels (~$70m)
Reporting to the Director, you will manage the full development lifecycle, working closely with internal project teams, consultants, authorities and stakeholders to drive projects from feasibility through planning, delivery and settlement.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in complex, design-led environments and enjoys balancing commercial outcomes with delivery excellence.
Manage projects end-to-end from feasibility, planning and design through to construction and settlement
Prepare and maintain development programs, budgets and feasibility models
Lead and coordinate consultant and design teams through planning approvals and detailed design
Manage planning applications and liaise with councils and authorities to secure approvals
Work closely with construction and project management teams through tender and delivery
Oversee contracts, reporting, documentation and progress tracking across multiple projects
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, risks and opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, vendors and authorities
Provide commercial insight to optimise project value, cost and program outcomes
Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, templates and development processes
Degree-qualified in Property, Construction, Commerce, Project Management or similar
5+ years’ experience in client-side development, ideally across high-rise residential or mixed-use
Strong understanding of the full development lifecycle
Proven capability managing budgets, programs and consultant teams
Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Commercially astute, detail-oriented and calm under pressure
Feasibility and financial modelling experience (desirable)
Comfortable managing multiple complex projects concurrently
Willingness to travel within Queensland as required
Work on landmark, design-led projects in prime SEQ locations
