Job Description

Woods & Co Recruitment is a Melbourne-based recruitment firm specialising across Property & Construction, Finance & IT, Hospitality, Business Services and operations.

This is a hands-on Accounts & Payroll role supporting the internal finance function at Woods & Co. You’ll own end-to-end payroll and core accounts processes, working closely with leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance and smooth day-to-day operations.

What do you do?

• End-to-end payroll processing using Xero, FoundU or equivalent (including Gusto for US payroll)

• Managing contractor and internal staff payroll

• Ensuring payroll compliance (PAYG, super, leave, STP)

• Accounts payable and receivable processing

• Invoicing, reconciliations and payroll reporting

• Managing payroll and accounts-related queries

• Supporting month-end processes and reporting

What do you need?

• 2+ years’ experience in accounts and payroll

• Hands-on experience with Xero, FoundU, Gusto or similar payroll platforms

• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation

• Exposure to international or US payroll (highly regarded)

• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
