What you’ll do:
- Manage commercial property trust accounts in full compliance with legislation, including rent, bonds, outgoings, and other trust monies
- Perform daily, monthly, and end-of-period trust reconciliations, and prepare landlord and tenant statements
- Process payments, creditor invoices, landlord disbursements, and bond lodgements/releases accurately
- Support property managers with lease setups, rent reviews, CPI increases, variations, and assignments
- Assist with outgoings reconciliations, end-of-year adjustments, and annual trust audits
- Provide accurate reporting on trust account performance and escalate issues where necessary
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Liaise professionally with landlords, tenants, auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain strong internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement of trust accounting systems
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial property trust accounting (management, leasing, or sales)
- Proven ability managing trust accounts and supporting trust audits
- Accounting or bookkeeping qualification (Cert IV, Diploma, or Degree) preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial leases, rent reviews, and outgoings recoveries
- Confident using Cirrus 8 or similar trust accounting systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel
- High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and excellent organisational skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused, accountable, and professional in handling trust funds
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
