Woods & Co. Recruitment has partnered with a a leading Australian retail fit-out specialist delivering high-quality, design-led environments for some of the country’s most recognisable brands. Known for their precision, craftsmanship, and end-to-end project delivery, the business continues to expand across national markets.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Joinery Estimator to join their team. This is a key role within the pre-construction phase, responsible for accurately pricing retail fit-out and joinery projects while working closely with project managers, designers, and production teams.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for joinery and retail fit-out projects
• Interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Completing material take-offs and labour costings
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
• Reviewing project scope and identifying cost risks and opportunities
• Working closely with project managers and production teams during handover
• Assisting with value engineering and cost optimisation
• Maintaining accurate records of estimates, pricing, and variations
• Supporting tender submissions and bid preparation

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as an Estimator within joinery, shopfitting, or fit-outs (essential)
• Strong understanding of joinery construction methods and materials
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings
• Experience with take-offs, cost planning, and tendering processes
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
