Woods & Co Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established and growing MSP to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Engineer – Network Specialist.

Our client specialises in supporting and transforming IT environments across multiple organisations, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies, cloud adoption and secure infrastructure design. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are looking to bring on an engineer who can operate across both networking and systems—with a clear emphasis on networking (approx. 60%).

This role will see you working across a mix of internal infrastructure initiatives and client-facing projects, delivering high-quality, end-to-end solutions.

• Lead network-focused projects (60%), including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, wireless, and firewall/security implementations
• Deliver internal infrastructure projects, improving systems that support business operations and team productivity
• Execute client-facing projects, including migrations, network refreshes, and broader infrastructure upgrades
• Contribute to systems engineering (40%), including servers, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high technical standard
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation (designs, configurations, handovers)
• Drive continuous improvement across infrastructure and network best practices

What we’re looking for

• 1–3+ years’ experience working within an MSP or multi-client environment
• Strong network engineering capability (routing & switching, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, TCP/IP)
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Sophos)
• Solid systems/infrastructure knowledge including:
• Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune)
• Cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS beneficial)
• Experience with virtualisation (VMware or Hyper-V)
• Exposure to backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end projects across multiple environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail

Certifications (desirable)
CCNA or equivalent networking certifications
Microsoft certifications (Azure / M365)
VMware or Hyper-V certifications
