Woods & Co are currently partnering with a well-established and steadily growing scaffolding business to recruit an experienced
Accounts Payable and
Receivable Officer to join their close knit team.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys owning the end to end accounts function, working closely with operations, and ensuring financial accuracy across multiple active jobs.
The Role:Reporting to the Director, you will play a key role in keeping the financial side of the business running smoothly. You'll be responsible for managing both AP and AR functions, while supporting the wider team with job costing and financial tracking.
Your day to day will include:
- Invoicing jobs accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconciling jobs costs and ensuring alignment with project budgets
- Processing and checking supplier invoices against purchase orders and job details
- Managing accounts payable and receivable processes end to end
- Following up outstanding payments and maintaining strong cash flow
- Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero
- Supporting month end processes and reporting as required
About You:We are looking for someone who is detail orientated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast paced project driven environment.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a similar AP/AR or all round accounts role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience working within construction trades, or a project based business (highly regarded)
- Solid understanding of job costing and reconciliations
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
