Event Sales Manager

Woods & Co Recruitment have partnered with a prestigious events and hospitality group based in South Melbourne, on the hunt for an experienced Event Sales Manager!
  
This exciting, in-office role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves delivering exceptional event experiences from the first enquiry through to final details.
  
As part of a leading business in Melbourne’s event scene, you'll be the first point of contact for warm inbound enquiries across a variety of event types – from luxurious weddings and high-end corporate functions to milestone celebrations. This is a role where you’ll use your relationship-building skills and flair for detail to convert leads into unforgettable experiences.

  • $85,000 - $90,000 + Super + bonuses
  • Work with a well-established events group with a strong pipeline of leads
  • Manage a wide range of events – weddings, corporate functions, and more

What do you do?
  • Work a Tuesday – Saturday roster
  • Respond to and qualify incoming event enquiries
  • Coordinate and host venue site inspections
  • Prepare tailored proposals and complete sales appointments
  • Manage client communications from enquiry to booking - recommending suitable packages and event solutions
  • Collaborate with the internal events team to deliver each event seamlessly
  • Build and maintain a strong client portfolio for future event opportunities
  • Stay across trends in hospitality and event management
  
What do you need:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in event sales or similar
  • A strong customer-first attitude and relationship-driven sales style
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills and up-to-date knowledge of event trends
  • Ability to multitask, manage time, and meet deadlines
  • Experience using venue management systems (e.g. Priava)
  • Flexible availability for occasional evening or weekend events
