Woods & Co are working on behalf of our client to find an experienced HubSpot Developer to join their growing team in Melbourne. This role suits someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys building robust HubSpot solutions, and wants to work across a diverse portfolio of clients including technology, museums, associations, and fast-growing organisations.

About the RoleYou will be responsible for delivering high-quality HubSpot CMS development, end-to-end integrations, and both Public and Private App development. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders across marketing, product, and technical teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business goals.
This role is Melbourne-based with a preference for hybrid or on-site work to support close collaboration.
Key ResponsibilitiesHubSpot CMS & HubL DevelopmentBuild custom HubL modules, templates, themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HubL.
Develop scalable components for marketers and content teams.
Optimise CMS performance, accessibility, structured data, schema, and page speed.
Work within HubSpot Design Manager and the local development CLI.
Diagnose and resolve front-end issues across devices and browsers.
Integrations & API DevelopmentBuild and maintain integrations between HubSpot and third-party platforms.
Develop workflows, custom middleware logic, and end-to-end integration flows.
Work with the HubSpot CRM API, CMS API, OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, and error handling.
Implement logic for custom objects, association labels, sync rules, and data transformations.
HubSpot Public & Private App DevelopmentArchitect and develop Private Apps (secure internal APIs, token management).
Build Public Apps for the HubSpot Marketplace, including UI extensions and OAuth flows.
Ensure compliance with HubSpot app standards for performance and security.
Maintain documentation, versioning, and release notes.
Technical Implementation & SupportTranslate business requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.
Conduct QA, debugging, code reviews, and optimisation.
Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users.
Maintain documentation including ERDs, integration diagrams, API specs, and deployment guides.
Required Skills & Experience3+ years experience as a HubSpot Developer, Full-stack Developer, or similar.
Strong expertise in HubSpot CMS, HubL, modules, themes, and CLI workflows.
Proficient in JavaScript, Node.js, and modern development frameworks.
Experience developing HubSpot Private and Public Apps, including OAuth 2.0.
Hands-on with HubSpot APIs, CRM configuration, custom objects, and webhooks.
Experience integrating HubSpot with external systems (CRM, eCommerce, finance, LMS, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting ability and confidence resolving complex technical issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Nice to HaveExperience with serverless environments (AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers).
Familiarity with React, Vue, or similar frameworks for app UI extensions.
Understanding of HubSpot workflows, sequences, lists, datasets.
Experience with Make.com or Zapier for lightweight integration logic.
