Woods & Co Recruitment is on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Bar Manager for an exciting new state-of-the-art wine bar in the heart of Box Hill. This New-York inspired venue is set to be the next go-to spot for locals, offering an exceptional menu of small bites, an extensive spirit list, curated wines, and inventive cocktails. 

Not only will you be working in a stunning venue, but you'll also have the chance to build and lead your very own bar team. Collaborate with the management team to shape the wine list and beverage offerings. Plus, enjoy the balance of 1 weekend day off and no more late 3 am finishes - clocking off around midnight. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where managers value work-life balance and genuinely welcome your input to make the bar a success

What's in it for you?

• $70,000 - $80,000 + Super.

What do you do? 

• Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring high standards of service and product quality. 
• Curate and manage a standout selection of wines, beers, and spirits. 
• Design and innovate creative cocktails to elevate guest experience.
• Build, lead and inspire a team, maintaining a positive & professional atmosphere. 
• Implement efficient systems and processes to ensure smooth service and stock control. 
• Manage inventory and ensure the bar is always fully stocked.

What do you need?

• Previous experience as a Bar Manager within a high-quality venue. 
• Familiarity with stocktake & ordering procedures, and scheduling rosters. 
• A passion for wine, spirits, cocktails, beer, and local produce. 
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team. 
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to create a memorable guest experience and ensure consistent service delivery.
