Full Stack Developer (PHP)

Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a successful commercial property marketplace whose platform is currently backed by major global clients and investors. They’re looking to change the real estate game by taking the risk out of advertising and making valuable introductions between landlords and tenants. Our client is looking for an ambitious, motivated, and technically experienced Full Stack Developer passionate about crafting inclusive, user-centric solutions. This full-time role is based in the heart of Melbourne CBD within a fantastic and expanding company.

Must haves:
  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
  • Full-stack Developer with 3-5 years’ experience with PHP/Laravel. 
  • Must be capable of leading the innovation and taking complete ownership of both frontend and backend development.
  • Ideally have some experience working on high-level/premium UX/UI websites/applications.
  • Modern dev tooling (Microservices, CI/CD, Conatainerisation) is a must. 
  
Nice to haves:
  • Ideally have some experience working on high-level/premium UX/UI websites/applications.
  • Expertise in designing and developing REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with version control, AWS services, CI/CD/DevOps, and relational databases.
  • Front-end development skills with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like GitHub, JIRA, Docker/Kubernetes.
  

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end development and enhancement of their web presence, championing a seamless, responsive UX that excels across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Drive the application development lifecycle, coding robust features, and implementing system optimizations for peak performance and compatibility on all devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integrating diverse perspectives for innovative solution design and system enhancements.
  • Uphold website accessibility, targeting WCAG standards to guarantee an inclusive experience, and keep abreast of the latest in security trends and accessibility standards.
