As part of a well-established group of hotels in Australia, the venue offers a warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent beer gardens, bistro dining, and function spaces, attracting both locals and visitors alike.
Near completion of a multi-million dollar renovation, the hotel will feature a 700+ seat bistro and stunning outdoor dining areas. As Head Chef, you'll lead a state-of-the-art kitchen, showcasing your culinary expertise in a high-volume, innovative setting.
As an experienced Head Chef, you'll lead a team of 20 in a newly renovated venue, overseeing menu development, staff management, and kitchen operations. Your role includes recruiting, training, and maintaining a positive kitchen culture while ensuring safety and hygiene. Your leadership will elevate the hotel's dining experience, making it a top destination for locals and tourists.

What do you do? - Oversee all kitchen staff (approximately 20) to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality meal production.
- Manage purchasing, rostering, wage & staff planning to ensure operational efficiency.
- Recruit and train your kitchen team to maintain high standards.
- Create and execute menus, including special promotions and function menus.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Foster an enjoyable workplace culture, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.
What do you need? - Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a large team.
- Passion for cooking and innovation, with experience in menu creation.
- Exceptional organisational skills, particularly in rostering, wage planning, and purchasing.
- A commitment to kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on role, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
