Woods & Co Recruitment is excited to present a unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced Head Sommelier to join a highly awarded, 2-hatted restaurant nestled in the stunning Mornington Peninsula wine region. This venue is renowned for its exceptional food, unparalleled wine list, and a dining experience that leaves a lasting impression.
What's in it for you? - $90,000 - $110,000 + Super.
- Full-Time 45 hour contract.
- Paid overtime and work predominantly Thursday to Sunday.
- Lead and direct a prestigious wine program with a focus on Burgundy.

What do you do?
- Direct the restaurant's beverage program, focusing on a 200-bottle wine list.
- Maintain and manage a 2000-bottle cellar heavily influenced by Burgundy wines.
- Engage with guests to share your passion for wine and create memorable experiences.
- Oversee stocktaking, manage the wine list, and ensure high standards of service.
- Be actively involved in service during operating hours.
- Designated days to complete administrative duties.
What do you need? - Prior experience as a Sommelier or Head Sommelier in a fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of Burgundy wines and a passion for wine.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and lead a team.
- Proficiency in POS systems, stock management, and administrative duties.
- CMS certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- A genuine desire to deliver exceptional guest experiences and progress your career.
