About the Company
Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a respected Melbourne-based residential builder to assist them in looking for an experienced Estimator to join their expanding team. With a diverse portfolio that includes both volume housing and medium-density townhouse developments, this role offers variety, stability, and the chance to be part of a thriving construction business.

The Role
Reporting to the Group Estimating Manager, the Estimator will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, interpret building plans, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure projects are delivered on budget without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential projects
• Review plans, specifications, and tender documents
• Obtain and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Assist in preparing tender submissions and cost breakdowns
• Maintain and update cost databases for ongoing and upcoming projects

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of proven experience as an Estimator within the residential space
• Ideally hold knowledge of both volume and medium-density building methods
• Both sales and production experience is encouraged
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Proficiency in Databuild & MS Office
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and accuracy skills
